Examples of permitted shoes: Example of not permitted shoes:

Examples of shoes that are acceptable and suitable to wear with the school uniform. These shoes are smart and offer protection against bad weather and spillages. They also conform to health and safety standards for general school use. Branded trainers must be fully black. For non-permitted shoes, please note that as fashions change quickly, this gallery may not show all pictures of prohibited items. Inappropriate footwear relates to black or dark trainers with logos in any colour other than black, canvas trainers or boots.
To limit the need for parents to have to purchase multiple pairs of trainers, regular (non-black) sports trainers may be worn on PE days only. These are not permitted during non-PE days.
Jewellery should not be worn due to the risk of loss or damage. If children have pierced ears, then studs should be worn to school but removed for P.E. Reasonable adjustments will be made where required to avoid discrimination in line with the Equality Act 2010.
Pupils are expected to maintain hairstyles that are safe and suitable for school activities. Coats should be practical to suit the weather and bags not unnecessarily large in order to fit on coat hooks.
Book Bags
Children are expected to have a bag to bring their reading books and diaries back and forth each day and to take home any letters or notices – so they should be checked every day. (NB most letters are sent electronically).
Forest School
Children in Reception and Year 1 are required to have a waterproof coat, waterproof trousers and wellies at school for forest school activities. On their forest school days, children need to come to school dressed in old clothes that can get muddy, which must consist of a long sleeved top and trousers.
