Welcome to Lemurs! We make up Years 5 & 6 at Stanton Drew and work really hard in Miss Gough’s class, but we also have a lot of fun too. Miss Gough is supported by Mrs Bryant and Miss Owen. We do a lot of Maths and English and read a variety of books from differing authors which helps to fuel insightful discussions. We explore the world as Scientists, Historians, Geographers, Artists, Musicians, Linguists and much more. Our school has excellent singers and actors and we always impress at our Harvest Festivals, Easter plays, Christmas Nativities, and end of year Key Stage 2 plays.

We have extra responsibilities in Lemurs and we help to look after the younger children during Playleader Training: these skills help build our confidence supporting the younger children and also helps out the Stanton Drew staff. We have to keep the PE shed clean and give out equipment at break and lunch times.

We get to participate in many sporting events with other local schools, like football, rugby and rounders. We also do swimming and tennis at venues away from the school.

We get to go on camp too, and have fun doing loads of adventurous and exciting activities like archery, the 'leap of faith' jump, building a catapult, kayaking and rafting.
