Bishop Sutton is a thriving village school, with a strong sense of community.
We strive for and achieve academic excellence while providing a safe and stimulating environment for children to enjoy their learning and take part in a wide range of activities across the curriculum and beyond.
Children here are encouraged to challenge themselves to take risks, becoming resilient, independent and active learners.
Our teaching and learning is creative, enthusiastic, dynamic and inspires a love of learning.
Classes are decided each year, as some year groups have to be split across two classes. We make the decision as to which class children will go to based on a number of factors including academic ability, emotional maturity, social groupings and relationships.
Whichever class they are in, children from the same year group follow the same curriculum and we have exactly the same expectations in terms of achievement and progress. Children are placed in the class in which they are most likely to thrive.
